Lynda Garrett, 56, of Cave City died April 9, 2003, at her home in Cave City.
Born April 11, 1946, in Claremore, Okla., she was the daughter of Claude Vernon and Lula Mae Farris. She was a retired school teacher from Cord Charlotte Elementary School. She also owned and operated Garrett Accounting and Tax Service, and was a member of the Church of Christ at Cave City.
Survivors include her husband, Johnny Garrett Jr.; a son and daughter-in-law -- Lee and Bonnie Garrett of Evening Shade; three brothers -- Gilbert Farris and Claude Farris, both of Claremore, and Gilbert Jacobs of Columbia, Miss.; five sisters -- Jean Roberts of Claremore, Carol Davis of Crowley, Texas, Kitty Meisner of Rogers, Ark., Katty Fox of Claremore, and Donna Farris of Rogers; three grandchildren -- Kelsi Garrett of Cave City, Kayla Smart and Hayley Lindsey, both of Newark; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and grandparents -- Lonnie and Claudia Duvall and T.J. and Loma Dunlap.
A graveside service was April 11 at Maxville Cemetery north of Cave City with Dean Fugett officiating.
Pallbearers were Kevin Fox, Adam Fox, Kenny Davis, Ken Davis, Mike Fox and Gilbert Jacobs.
Honorary pallbearers were her brothers.
Memorials may be made to American Breast Cancer Society or Diabetes Foundation.
Arrangements were under the direction by Quall Funeral Home of Cave City.
