Larry Gene Morgan, 53, of Muskogee, Okla., died Dec. 4, 2003, at his home.
Born Aug. 21, 1950, at Batesville, he was the son of James Newton and Alamola Norris Morgan. He was employed at Whitlock Packaging Corporation in Fort Gibson, Okla., and was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his wife, Sharon Kay Byrd Morgan of the home; two daughters and sons-in-law -- Tanya and Bill Meehan, and Debra and Damon Morris, all of Muskogee; a son and daughter-in-law -- Kenneth and Kimberly Morgan of Fort Gibson, Okla.; his mother, Alamola Morgan of Poughkeepsie; two brothers -- Tommy Morgan of Poughkeepsie, and Marty Morgan of Cave City; seven grandchildren -- Julia Meehan, Morgan Meehan, Dustin Meehan, Sabrina Morris and Gabrielle Morris, all of Muskogee, and Dylan Morgan and Brayden Morgan, both of Fort Gibson; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Newton Morgan; his paternal grandparents -- James W. and Ovetta Morgan; his maternal grandparents -- Marvin and Lockie Norris; and a granddaughter, Barbara Kay Meehan.
The funeral service was Dec. 8 at Qualls Funeral Home Chapel in Cave City with the Rev. Tommy Honeycutt of Fort Gibson officiating. Burial followed in Mount Carmel Cemetery at Sidney with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.
Pallbearers were Tommy Morgan, Marty Morgan, Bill Meehan, Damon Morris, Craig Byrd and Jerry Morgan.
Honorary pallbearers were his co-workers and Cullen Gotte.
