Leroy Kneip, 83, of Midway died Nov. 12, 2004, at Baxter Regional Medical Center.
Born Nov. 5, 1921, at Round Top, Texas, he was the son of Henry and Thekla Moellenberndt Kneip.
He served in the United Sates Army during World War II. He was a member of First United Methodist Church. He was a resident of Midway since 1987, having moved from Coal City, Ill.
Survivors include his sister, Evelyn Boenig of Victoria, Texas; a host of nieces and nephews; his companion, Trudy Holmes of Bulls Shoals, and her children -- Debra and Phillip.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Marion; and four brothers.
A memorial service was held Nov. 20 at the Kirby-Boaz Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Russell Moore officiating.
Burial followed in Oaklawn Cemetery in Cherokee Village. Arrangements were under the direction of Kirby-Boaz Funeral Directors of Mountain Home. An online obituary and guest book can be found at www.kirbyboaz.com.
