Leonard Joseph DeBolt

Leonard Joseph DeBolt, 75, of Horseshoe Bend died Feb. 24, 2005, at his home.

Born May 16, 1929, in Champaign, Ill., he was the son of John William and Edith Leone Palmer DeBolt.

He worked as an accountant for Riceland Foods. He was a member of the Moose Lodge, and American Legion.

He was a veteran, having served in the United States Army from Jan. 23, 1951, to Jan. 27, 1953, and received four bronze service stars.

Survivors include his sisters -- Edna Schnittker of Bloomington, Ill., and Nina Marshall of Chicago; and two nieces -- Deanna Leach of Horseshoe Bend, and Shirley Henderson of Cheyenne, Wyo.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Laquita Hufstedler DeBolt; five brothers; and five sisters.

A memorial service was held March 12 at the Salem Moose Lodge.

His body was donated to Medical Education and Research Institute in Memphis.
