Lowell J. King, 91, of Cave City died July 8, 2004, at White River Medical Center in Batesville.
Born Oct. 7, 1912, at Grange, he was the son of Oscar and Lura Milligan King. He was a farmer and a member of First Missionary Baptist Church of Cave City.
Survivors include three sons -- Harold King of Wichita, Kan., and Floren King and Larry King, both of Batesville; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Violet King; two daughters -- Joyce King and an infant, Jane Marie King; three brothers -- Marcus King, Lowis King and Oris King; and a sister, Orelia Butler.
The funeral was July 11 at the First Missionary Baptist Church in Cave City with Grayden Milligan and Robbie Horne officiating. Burial was in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery near Poughkeepsie with arrangements under the direction of Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.
Pallbearers were Kenny Gerhardt, James Landers, Terry Spikes, Jerry King, Leland Parvin and Lloyd Goff.
