Linda Kay Chavers, 60, of Cave City died Dec. 25, 2005, at White River Medical Center in Batesville. She was born May 12, 1945, at Batesville, the daughter of Carl Alton and Ruby Estella Gifford Coles. She retired from White River Medical Center as a housekeeper and was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include her husband, Marvin Chavers, of the home; two sons, Richard Chavers and Allen Chavers both of Batesville; two daughters, Bridgett Purcell of Jonesboro and Telisa Bower of Cave City; two sisters, Sue Fulbright of Cushman and Tonie Norris of Cave City; 19 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Tracy Lee Haughom.
The funeral service was held Dec. 28 at Qualls Funeral Home Chapel in Cave City with Bro. Jim Black officiating. Burial was in the Cave City Cemetery with arrangements under the direction of Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.
Pallbearers were Damon Tipton, Charles Tipton, Lucas Jansky, Brian Chavers, Shaun Willis and Adam Chavers.
Honorary pallbearers were Dustin Willis, Keith Terrell, Buzz Boozy and Corey Nichols.
