Logan Lee Hankins, 41, of Cherokee Village died Sept. 16, 2003, at his home. He was born Dec. 24, 1961, in Independence, Mo., the son of the Rex Wayne Hankins and Lillie Moore Hankins of Odessa, Mo.
He was a veteran having served in the U.S. Army as a drill sergeant.
Survivors include his wife, Aimee Hankins of Cherokee Village; two sons -- Davin Hankins and Cora Harland both of Cherokee Village; two daughters -- Arial Harland of Cherokee Village, and Tonya Perez of Fort Jackson, S.C.; four brothers -- Rex W. Hankins Jr. of Florida, Carl Hankins, Roy Hankins and Daniel Hankins, all of Missouri; one sister, Christine Snelling of Missouri; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Andrew Hankins.
Graveside services were Sept. 24 at Higginsville National Cemetery. The service was conducted with full military honors. Local arrangements were under the direction of Heath Funeral Home of Hardy.
