Lena M. Fairbee, age 101, of De Leon, Texas, died March 29, 2006, at the De Leon Nursing and Rehab.
She was born on Feb. 15, 1905, in Doddridge County, W. Va., the daughter of the late Anderson and Hannah Jane Evans Benedum.
She was united in marriage on Nov. 7, 1925, to Edgar E. Fairbee in West Union, W. Va., She was a homemaker and a member of the Freewill Baptist Church in Batesville.
Survivors include two sons, Edgar Lincoln Fairbee of Sebring, Fla., and Thomas Fairbee of Littleton, Colo; two daughters, Colleen Stockman of Desdemona, Texas, and Mary McIntire of Sun City, Calif.; 12 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; one daughter, Charlene Clark; four brothers; and three sisters.
Funeral services were held April 3 at the Qualls Funeral Home Chapel in Cave City with Bro. Bobby Shepherd officiating.
Burial followed in the Maxville Cemetery at Cave City with arrangements under the direction of Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.
Pallbearers were Edgar Lincoln Fairbee, Thomas Fairbee, Gregory Koelln, Hal Stockman, Marc Stockman and Lance White.
