Lucille N. Hunt, 72, of Ash Flat, Ark., died Jan. 11, 2008, at St. Louis, Mo. She was born Dec. 10, 1935, in Rock Creek, Ark., the daughter of Elijah Hoffman and Bessie (Lasley) Hoffman Walker.
She was a member of the Pioneer Freewill Baptist Church in Ash Flat. She is survived by: two sons, Tracey Leach of St. Louis, Mo., and Steven Tharp of Oats, Mo.; three daughters, Clara and Wayne Rector of St. Genevieve, Mo., Donna Woodfin of Oklahoma City, Okla., and Carmen Jackson of Lesterville, Mo.; one brother, Oscar Hoffman of North Fork, Ariz.; eight sisters, Louise Hill of Patterson, Mo., Alice Mueller of Oregon, Martha Copeland of Michigan, Margaret McCrocklin of Arizona, Ruby Hoffman, Bonnie Adams, Nettie Lou Morgan and Ollie Hill; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.She was preceded in death by: her parents, Elijah Hoffman and Bessie Lashley Hoffman Walker; her stepfather, Russell Walker; her husband, Lloyd "Bud" Hunt; three brothers, Frank, Alfred and George Hoffman; three sisters, Julie Lashley, Viney Moody and Florence Bearden; and one step-daughter, Rexanne Albrecht.Funeral services were held Jan. 15, 2008, at the Pioneer Freewill Baptist Church in Ash Flat with Bro. Sidney Laxton officiating. Burial followed in the Turkey Pen Cemetery near Highland. Arrangements were under the direction of the Tri-County Funeral Home of Highland, Ark.The family requests that memorials be made to the American Cancer Society.
