Johnece Rebecca Love, 72, of Viola, died Oct. 21, 2001, at Ash Flat Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Born July 17, 1929, in Viola, she was the daughter of Erby Carroll and Anna Rebecca Whitaker Carroll. She was married to Lindsey Wade Love on June 19, 1949, and to this union two children were born. During her early working years, she taught school at Mammoth Spring and Viola, and later was owner/operator of Love's Shoes in Salem. She was a member of Viola Methodist Church.
Survivors include her son, Randy Love of Viola; a daughter, Jana Barnes of Mountain Home; a brother, Erby Carroll Jr. of Victorville, Calif.; a sister, Kowanda Watson of Viola; four grandsons -- Brant Barnes and Bandon Love, Blake Love, and Brock Love; two granddaughters -- Lori Gregory and Layne Bruce; three great-grandchildren -- Chance Gregory and Isabella Gregory, and Braden Love; and a special niece, Carol Ann Hill of Cherokee Village.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and husband, Lindsey.
The funeral was Oct. 26 at Viola Methodist Church with Doug Criss and Charles Balentine officiating. Burial followed in Mt. Calm Cemetery.
Arrangements were under the direction of Cox-Blevins Funeral Home of Salem.
