Louise C. Swallow, 81, of Cherokee Village died June 3, 2006, at White River Medical Center in Batesville.
She was born March 29, 1925, in Chariton, Iowa, the daughter of the late Glenn C. Curtis and Grace (Fall) Curtis.
She was a retired registered nurse, having worked for many years in Burlington, Iowa. she moved to Cherokee Village 14 years ago from Burlington with her husband, Joshua. She was a 50-year member of the PEO. She also belonged to the Order of the Eastern Star and the VFW Auxiliary. She was a member of St. Andrews Episcopal Church in Cherokee Village.
Survivors include her husband, Joshua Swallow; one son, Charles Joshua Swallow II of Des Moines, Iowa; one daughter, Marsha "Linn" Hoskins of Hall, Mo.; one sister, Ruth Snyder of Lincoln, Neb.; and three nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.
A memorial service was held June 6 at St. Andrews Episcopal Church in Cherokee Village with Rev. Joan Ewaldsen officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of the Tri-County Funeral Home of Highland.
