Lile W. Morris, 88, of Cave City died July 16, 2003, at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock.
Born Nov. 23, 1914, at Deerfield, Kan., he was the son of E.V. and Iva Marie Futhey Morris. He was a retired oil, chemical and atomic worker, a 60-year-member of St. Bernard Masonic Lodge 222 in Dodge City, Kan., and was of the Methodist faith.
Survivors include two sons -- John "Jack" Morris of Woodrow, Colo., and Larry Morris of Cave City; a brother, Bob Morris of Texas; two grandsons -- Gregory Morris stationed with the United States Army in Germany, and James Morris of Woodrow; three granddaughters -- Jonna Kay Hansen of Brush, Colo., Stacey Lynn Cossey of Batesville, and Kristina Dawn Keller of Maumelle; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Minnie Lee Dansel Morris; a daughter, Roberta Kay Morris; two brothers -- Oran Morris and Vern Morris; and two sisters -- Elene Morris and Karol Hatfield.
A memorial service was July 20 at Evening Shade United Methodist Church with Larry Morris officiating. Interment will be in Fairmont Cemetery at Jetmore, Kan., at a later date. Arrangements were by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.
