Mamie Ardell Manry, 89, of Agnos died April 21, 2004 at Cave City Nursing Home.

Born Feb. 14, 1915, in Morriston, Ark., she was the daughter of William Edgar Godwin and Nancy Elizabeth Berry Godwin.

She married William T. Manry Sept. 17, 1933, at Agnos. To this union six children were born. She was a homemaker and a member of the Agnos Church of Christ.

Survivors include her husband, William T. Manry of Agnos; her children -- Fern (Kelmer) Johnson of Paragould, Mildred (Ben) Karpowicz of Horseshoe Bend, Billie Sue (Jim) Horton of Agnos, Carol (Linda) Manry of Mount Pleasant, Connie (Dale) Godwin of Agnos, and Karla (Brett) Carroll of Flippin; 15 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a grandson, Bobby Mack Tharp; a granddaughter, Lisa Gail Horton; two brothers -- Hubert and Floyd Godwin; five sisters -- Edna Porter, Faye Cherry and three who died in infancy.

The funeral was April 23 at Agnos Church of Christ. Burial was in the Manry Cemetery with arrangements under the direction of Cox-Blevins Funeral Home of Salem.
