Mildred Faye Hall Belcher, 80, of Biloxi, Miss., formerly of Evening Shade, died March 27, 2003, at Keesler Air Fore Base Medical Center in Biloxi.
Born Sept. 3, 1922, at West Point, Ark., she was the daughter of Malford and Vernon Rush Hall. She was a homemaker and a member of First United Methodist Church of Evening Shade. She was a woman of great faith, love and compassion and will be truly missed by all who knew her. She always considered Arkansas her home.
Survivors include a daughter, Patricia Rodriguez of Biloxi; three grandchildren and their spouses -- Dee Dee and Sean Straub of Jefferson City, Mo., Daniel and Kelly Spurlock of Biloxi, and Heather Lyn Spurlock of Raleigh, N.C.; two great-granddaughters -- Shan-non Straub and Emily Spurlock; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Everett Franklin Belcher; two brothers -- Raymond Hall and Virgil Hall; and a sister, Vivian Eaton.
The funeral was March 29 at First United Methodist Church at Evening Shade with the Rev. Larry Morris officiating. Burial was March 31 at the National Cemetery in Little Rock.
Pallbearers were Daniel Justin Spurlock, Brian Hester, Heather L. Spurlock, Donzie Spurlock, Patrick Norris and Lia Yates.
Arrangements were under the direction of Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.
