McVon Edwards, 68, of Hot Springs, formerly of Williford, died July 5, 2002, at St. Joseph Hospital in Hot Springs.
Born Oct. 26, 1933, in Sitka, he was the son of Ira T. and Myrtle Cruse Edwards. He married Bobbie Roach. He was a retired supervisor from W.W. Smyth Construction.
Survivors include his wife; four sons and two daughters-in-law -- Steve and Charlotte Edwards of Hot Springs, Kenny Marshall of Jonesboro, Chris and Lisa Marshall of Edmond, Okla., and Thomas Ray Beals of Lamar, Miss.; six daughters and three sons-in-law -- Lisa Barnett and Vonda Edwards, both of Hardy, Rhonda and Dossie McKeller of Plumeville, Yvonna and Eddie Brecken-ridge and Kimberly Ann and Tommy Weeks, all of Hot Springs, and Tina Mae Croft of Sheridan; a sister, JoAnna Sneed of Williford; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and a daughter.
The funeral was July 9 at Higginbotham Chapel in Hardy with Randy Roach officiating. Burial followed in Williford Cemetery.
Arrangements were under the direction of Higginbotham Funeral Service of Hardy.
