Mary E. Mignell, 100, of Sidney died April 14, 2003, at Sharp Nursing Home in Sidney.
Born April 29, 1902, at Bedford, Ind., she was the daughter of Hanigan and Rose Jones Collins. She was a homemaker, a member of Evening Shade VFW Auxiliary and was of the Methodist faith.
Survivors include two sons -- Bernard Mossburg of Little Rock, and Jerry Powell of Sidney; a daughter, Ireta Strickler of Whittier, Calif.; a sister, Clara Day of Batesville; six grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Joseph Mignell; three brothers -- Ray Collins, Roy Collins and Walter Collins; a sister, Leah Flook; and a grandson, Linuel Powell.
The funeral was April 22 at Qualls Funeral Home Chapel with Alvin Wiles officiating. Burial was in Maxville Cemetery north of Cave City.
