Mary Edith Sexton, 86, of Horseshoe Bend died June 2, 2006, at White River Medical Center in Batesville, Ark. She was born Feb. 5, 1920, in Springfield, Ill., the daughter of the late Lambert F. and Beatrice Leadaband Albright. She was married to Arthur Sexton on Jan. 29, 1938, and to this union five children were born.
She was a retired circuitboard inspector for John Dickey Inc. in Auburn, Ill., and was a member of First Baptist Church of Horseshoe Bend and the WMU group.
Survivors include her husband, Arthur Thomas Sexton; four sons, John Arthur Sexton of Vista, Calif., Ralph David Sexton of Dekalb, Ill., Gary Don Sexton of Auburn, Ill., and Wayne Alan Sexton of Virden, Ill.; one daughter, Julia Roberta Finley of Jefferson City, Mo.; two brothers, Jacob Eugene Albright and Ellis Lambert Albright, of Springfield, Ill.; two sisters, Ella Geraldine Donnison of Alhambra, Ill., and Elizabeth Carol Ryner of Springfield, Ill.; 22 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Susan Gail Farris; two brothers, Samuel Albright and Charles Albright; and two sisters, Margaret Ciotti and Martha Mehen.
The funeral services were held June 7 at First Baptist Church in Horseshoe Bend with Bro. Frank Wise officiating. Burial will follow in the Violet Hill Cemetery at a later date. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Pallbearers were David Leigh Wilson, Michelle Harris, Angie Howe, Tommy Sexton, Jason Sexton, Kelli Reed, Candi Sexton and Jeff Sexton.
Honorary pallbearers were her grandchildren.
