Melvin George John Dujardin, 70, of Evening Shade, Ark., died March 31, 2007, at his home in Evening Shade. He was born Aug. 2, 1936, to George William Harry and Vida Mae Hughes Dujardin in Black Hawk, S.D.
He was a carpenter in the construction business for many years and was of the Protestant Faith. He is preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include: his wife, Mary Dujardin of the home; three sons, Anthony Dujardin of Evening Shade, Shawn Dujardin of Longmont, Colo., and Michael Dujardin of Dumont, Md.; three daughters, Brenda Ricketts of Fairfield, Pa., Vareica Maddox of Emmetsburg, Md., and Kimmie Null of Gettysburg, Pa.; two brothers, Richard Dujardin of Ventura, Calif., and Alvin Dujardin of Hertford, N.C.; five sisters, Emily Deere of Hampstead, Md., Jean Powell of Port St. Lucy, Fla., Loraine Astarita of Forest Hill, Md., Joann Johnson of Hertford, N.C., and Dorothy Dujardin of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; 13 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; several nieces; nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends. There will be no services held. Arrangements are under the direction of Howard Funeral Home of Melbourne.
