William Lee Milligan, 85, of Poughkeepsie died Jan. 29, 2002, at Cave City Nursing Home.
Born Sept. 2, 1916, at Calamine, he was the son of Henry and Rosie Anderson Milligan. He was a farmer, a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Lola Milligan; a daughter, Mildred Treadway of Poughkeepsie; a brother, Glenn Dale Milligan of Cave City; two sisters -- Pearl Boyd of Perry, and Retha Russo of Evening Shade; two grandchildren -- Patrick Treadway of Poughkeepsie, and Kimberly Vance of Batesville; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers -- Walter Milligan and Lois Joe Milligan; and a sister, Eddie Faye Floyd.
The funeral was Feb. 1 at Qualls Funeral Home Chapel in Cave City with William Ander-son officiating. Burial followed in Townsend Cemetery at Smith-ville.
Pallbearers were T.J. Jenkins, Dean Boyd, Jim Miller, Ben Jenkins, Jerry Humbrecht and Robin Medlock.
Honorary pallbearers were Patrick Treadway, Tommy Wilson and Chris Vance.
Arrangements were under the direction of Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.
