Marriel Lenora Brown, 49, of Evening Shade, Ark., died Dec. 24, 2007, at her home. She was born Jan. 21, 1958, at Norfolk, Va., the daughter of Albert L. and Mildred (Martin) Brown.
She was a nurse for 25 years. She loved helping people and her patients came first. She loved to travel, visit junk stores, gardening and her cats. She was of the Baptist faith and a member of the Eastern Star Chapter 511 in Cave City.Survivors include: her parents, Albert L. and Mildred Brown of Cave City; two brothers, Morgan B. Brown and his wife Mary of Ephesus, Ga., and Dana Brown of Cave City; four aunts, Faye Lutts and her husband, Billy, of Carthage, Miss., Leola Bussell of Waycrosse, Ga., Mildred Snow of Rebecca, Ga., and Miyako Martin of Lake Worth, Fla.; one uncle, Lyndolph Martin and wife, Jimmie, of Florence, Miss.; and a host of cousins and friends. Funeral services were held Dec. 28 at the Qualls Funeral Home Chapel in Cave City with Bro. John Griffin officiating. Burial followed in the Maxville Cemetery located north of Cave City with arrangements under the direction of Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City. Pallbearers were Dana Brown, Morgan Brown, Mike Lassiter, Austin Christopher, Robert Martin, Charles Clinton and Jeff Clinton.
