Margaret Lucille Manuel Kent, 59, of Cave City died Oct. 10, 2006, at her home. She was born Jan. 19, 1947, at Luxora, Ark., the daughter of Thomas Orvil and Gracie Lucille Grimes Manuel.
She was a beautician and a member of Souls Harbor Pentecostal Church in Cave City.
Survivors include five sons, Scott Crossno and Joseph Crossno, both of Paragould, Ark., Brian Wesell of Peoria, Ill., Shaun Kent of Jonesboro and Brandon Crossno of Cave City; one daughter, Shavon Mayberry of Cave City; her mother, Gracie Kankelfitz of Cave City; six brothers, George Manuel, Thomas Manuel, Sam Manuel and Tony Manuel, all of Cave City, Gerald Manuel of Peoria, Ill., and Phillip Manuel of Union, Tenn.; two sisters, Faye Melton of Washington, Ill., and Renee Greenhaw of Cave City; 11 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Orvil Manuel; her stepfather, Robet Kankelfitz; her husband, Dennis Melvin Kent; one brother, Johnny Manuel; and two sisters, Sue Thrasher and Barbara Mitchell.
The funeral services were held Oct. 15 at Qualls Funeral Home Chapel in Cave City with Bro. Sam Manuel officiating. Burial followed in the Cave City Cemetery with arrangements under the direction of Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.
Pallbearers were George Manuel, Thomas Manuel, Gerald Manuel, Phillip Manuel, Tony Manuel and Greg Roger.
Honorary pallbearers were Wesley Crossno, William Smith and Bo Manuel.
The funeral services were held Oct. 16 at the Mt. View Missionary Baptist Church, located east of Cave City, with Bro. Vance Penn officiating.
Burial followed in the Mt. View Cemetery with arrangements under the direction of the Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.
Pallbearers were Ronnie Lewallen, Mark Brightwell, Samuel Crabtree, Wesley Turner, Jerry Bullington, J.O. Bullington, Charles Bullington and Mitchell Brewer.
