Millie Lorena Sams

Millie Lorena Sams, daughter of the late Lee Oren Crowder and Lela Short Crowder, was born Nov. 29, 1923, in San Pedro, Calif. She died Sept. 23, 2007, at her home in Horseshoe Bend, Ark. at the age of 83.

She was united in marriage to Dalton Clifford Sams. Millie spent her life as a wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker. She was of the Pentecostal faith.She is survived by: three daughters, Rose Coffelt of Horseshoe Bend, Virginia Herring of California, and Michelle Trimble of Oklahoma; five sons, Harold Sams of California, Roy Sams of Georgia, Clifford Sams of Arkansas, Alfred Sams of Arkansas and Daniel Sams of Arkansas; one brother; three sisters; numerous grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren; a host of other relatives; and many friends. She was preceded in death by: her parents, her husband, one sister; and one brother.No memorial service has been planned at this time. Arrangements by Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Melbourne.
