Mary Louise (Willie) Smith, age 80, of Cave City, died Feb. 12, 2007, at her home. She was born Dec. 17, 1926, at Union City Tenn., the daughter of Bernie and Lily (Jackson) Willie. She was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Jimmie Ray Smith Jr.; and one brother, Jay Willie.
Survivors include: her husband of 31 years, Jimmie Ray Smith, Sr.; two sons, Pat McCarron of Conway and Dan McCarron of Batesville; nine daughters, Jeanie Dobbs of Springtown, Texas, Rose Smith of Fort Worth, Texas, Eva Luster of Batesville, Peggy Mooreland of Graham, Texas, Sadie Palmer of Bald Knob, Cindi and Audrey Holowell of Mount Pleasant; 29 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; several nieces; and nephews and host of other relatives and friends.
Graveside services were held Feb. 15 at the Maxville Cemetery located north of Cave City with Bro. Bruce Qualls officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of the Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.
Pallbearers were Jim Smith, Terry St. John, Dr. Michael Wilson, Dub Evans, Bill Robins and Carl Johnson.
Honorary pallbearers were Vernon Gann, Dr. Andy Davidson and Dr. Margaret Kuykendall.
