Mary Louise "Lou" Rougeou, 67, of Newark died Dec. 19, 2002, at St. Bernard's Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro.
Born Feb. 10, 1935, in Bunkie W. Va., she was the daughter of Foster E. and Bertha Legg Barnett. She was a retired certified nursing assistant, having worked for North Heritage Manor in Alexandria, La. She was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include two sons -- Donnie Vogt and Dale Vogt, both of Wisconsin; four daughters -- Karan Lynn Trichel of Cave City, Toni Annette Kingsbury of Round Rock, Texas, Marjorie Elaine McGee of Fort Smith, and Julia Ann Perot of Cave City; a brother, Cliff Barnett of Florida; three sisters -- Marjorie Vaughn and Robbie Crawford, both of South Point, Ohio, and Karen Gehringer of Kentucky; 19 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Danny Barnett; a sister, Kathleen Phillips; and four great-grandchildren -- Larisa McGee, Joe H. Perot III, Shelby Norris and Ashley Norris.
The funeral was Dec. 22 at Qualls Funeral Home Chapel in Cave City with Vance Penn and Jimmy Ray Jr. officiating. Burial followed in Cave City Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Rick King, Justin Mock, Billy Norris, Randall Gillmore, Randall Perkey, Jerry Biard and Chuck Norris.
Honorary pallbearers were Dale King and Larry Pearson.
Arrangements were under the direction of Qualls Funeral Home.
