Maynard Ryno, 93, a former resident of Ozark Acres, died Feb. 27, 2003, at Caldwell, Idaho.
He celebrated his 90th birthday in May of 1999 by his son taking him for a visit with relatives out of state. Two weeks later, after returning home, he suffered a stroke and was in a nursing home at Ash Flat.
In July, his family took him to the home of his daughter in Idaho. He resided there for two years after which he had to reside in a nursing home. He later moved into a special care home.
He was active at Ozark Acres as a member of the volunteer fire department as long as he was able. He directed the fire department bingo and was active in all the other organizations there.
Survivors include his son, Perry Ryno of Glendora, Calif.; two daughters -- Berniece Klamm of Independence, Mo., and Clara Brigman of Caldwell, Idaho; several grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
Remains were cremated and will be interred next to his wife, Lavina.
No services are planned at this time. The family will hold a private memorial service at a later time.
