Myrtle Williams, 89, of Sidney, Ark., died Sept. 8, 2007, at the Pioneer Nursing Home in Melbourne. She was born March 28, 1918, at Mount Pleasant, Ark., the daughter of Robert J. and Bertie Elizabeth (Breeden) Langston

She was a homemaker and a member of the Sage Baptist Church.Survivors include: one son, Dennis P. Williams of Melbourne; four daughters, Dean Crowson and Veda Sims both of Benton, Ark., Robby Fish of Aztec, N.M., and Delberta Geiger of Sidney; two brothers, Bobby Langston of Melbourne and Doyne Langston of Sage; one sister, Monteen Barksdale of Wenatchee, Wash; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; several nieces; nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.She was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband, D.C. Williams; three brothers, Shelby Langston, S.D. Langston and Melton Langston; four sisters; Ruvena Fitzsimmons, Lorene Reynolds, Pauline Langston and Modess (Collie) Stowers.Funeral services were held Sept. 12 at the Reeves Chapel Church located near Guion with Don Crowson officiating. Burial followed in the Reeves Cemetery located near Guion with arrangements under the direction of the Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.Pallbearers were Carl Fish Jr., Frank Geiger Jr., Troy Sims, Dan Geiger, Kelly Anderson and Casey Shaw.www.quallsfunerals.com
