Nona Gray Stowers, 75, of Hardy, formerly of Memphis, Tenn., died March 8, 2003.
Born on Aug. 26, 1927, in Columbus, Miss., she was the daughter of Ira Richardson and Kitty Gray Stowers. She married Fredrick Stowers July 10, 1956.
She was a member of First Baptist Church and was a secretary for the Higginbotham Funeral Service for more than 11 years.
Survivors include two sons -- Michael Galloway of Anchor-age, Alaska, and Richard Stowers of Hardy; a daughter, Kathryn Byron of Highland; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son and two brothers.
The funeral was March 11 at First Baptist Church in Hardy with Floyd Rickard officiating. Burial followed in the Oaklawn Cemetery in Highland.
Arrangements were under the direction of Higginbotham Funeral Home of Hardy.
