Nona Jean Ford, 56, of Cave City died Nov. 18, 2005, at White River Medical Center in Batesville. She was born Feb. 26, 1949, at Sidney to William and Norma Lee Taylor Wilkes. She was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include her husband, Ernie Ford of the home; one son and daughter-in-law, Marty and Shanda Shreve of Fort Worth, Texas; one daughter and son-in-law, Jenny and Mike Davis of Cave City; her step-mother, Lula Wilkes of Cave City; two stepsons and daughters-in-law, Rodney and Connie Ford of Evening Shade, Ronnie and Shayla Ford of Sulphur Rock; two stepdaughters and sons-in-law, Charlotte and James Royal of Evening Shade ,and Melissa and Mike Walls of Sidney; two grandchildren, Emilee Davis and Parker Davis, both of Cave City; nine step-grandchildren, Chris Ford, Nikki Ford, Jessica Royal, Jamie Royal and Joseph Royal, all of Evening Shade, Samantha Walls and Michaela Walls, both of Sidney, Tyler Ford and Trevor Ford, both of Sulphur Rock; four brothers, Archie Wilkes, Danny Wilkes and Bobby Wilkes, all of Cave City, and Buell Wilkes of Evening Shade; one sister, Nema Thompson of Sidney; seven nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one stepgrandson, Anthony Ford.
The funeral service was held Nov. 21 at the Sidney Baptist Church with Bro. Michael Ring officiating. Burial followed in Fairview Cemetery, east of Cave City, with arrangements under the direction of Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.
Pallbearers were Brandon Wilkes, Byron Wilkes, Christopher Wilkes, Harold Shreve, Calvin Lassiter and Peter Ring.
Honorary pallbearers were Ebby Shreve, Darrell Thompson, Denny Polston and Dr. Seth Barnes.
