Opal Crabtree Crow, 89, died June 21, 2006, in Batesville.
She was born Oct. 3, 1916, in Cave City, the daughter of the late Charles Luther Crabtree and Roxie Brewer Crabtree.
She was a homemaker and of the Pentecostal faith. She enjoyed sewing and making clothes for her children. She went to singing school as a young lady and taught her children to sing.
Survivors include a son, L.D. Crow, of Batesville; three daughters, Nina Rheudene Alberni of Livonia, Mich., Bernice Palmer of Batesville and Lela M. Landers of Tulsa, Okla.; 24 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; William Cornelius Crow; three brothers; three sisters; one grandson, Cecil Stout; one granddaughter, Susan Landers; and one great-grandchild, Lauren Elizabeth Tosh.
The funeral services were held June 24 at the Roller-Crouch-McGee Funeral Home Chapel in Cave City with Bo. Billy Huff an Bro. Steven Palmer officiating. Burial followed in the Cave City Cemetery with arrangements under the direction of Roller-Crouch/McGee Funeral Home of Cave City.
Pallbearers were her grandsons, Billy Sutton, Randal Tosh, Shawn Crow, David Landers, Steven Palmer, Stanley Palmer and Blake Corbell.
