Otto Duke, 90, of Sidney died Sept. 8, 2002, at Sharp Nursing Home in Sidney.
Born Sept. 11, 1911, in Piney Fork, he was the son of Henry Duke and Pearlee Fletcher Duke. He was a retired farmer and timberman. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Evening Shade and a member of the Masonic Lodge of Evening Shade.
Survivors include his wife, Osie Duke of Sidney; five sons, -- W.O. Duke, Harley Duke and Jack Duke, all of Batesville, Cleo Duke of Cave City, and Boyce Duke of Sidney; four daughters -- Elsie Harrington of Ward, Bonnie Mawell of Batesville, Patsy Malone and Kathleen Koob, both of Hardy; a brother, Virgil Duke of Judsonia; 27 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Coy Duke; four sisters; and six brothers.
The funeral was Sept. 10 at Sidney Baptist Church with the Rev. Alvin Wiles officiating. Burial followed at Williams Cemetery west of Evening Shade.
Pallbearers were Gavin Duke, Burton Duke, Mitchel Duke, David Duke, Kenny Malone and Dwayne Head-stream.
Honorary pallbearer was Daniel Duke.
Arrangements were under the direction of Roller-Crouch-McGee Funeral Home of Cave City.
