Ollie Lorene Lowe, 76, of Hardy died Sept. 28, 2002, at her home.

Born Sept. 12, 1926, in Kensett, she was a homemaker and a member of Spring Lake Baptist Church in Ozark Acres.

Survivors include five sons and their wives -- Bruce and Cathy Lowe of Jonesboro, James and Barbara Lowe of Blytheville, Terry and Cindy Lowe of Hardy, Wayne C. and Barbara Lowe of Big Bear City, Calif., and William Lowe of Milwaukee, Ore.; a brother, Hubert Meeks of Denison, Texas; 17 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Isaac "Ike" Lowe; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Meeks; a sister and three brothers.

The funeral was Sept. 30 at Tri-County's Cherokee Chapel with the Rev. Ed Stoddard officiating. Burial followed in the Baker Cemetery at Ozark Acres.

Arrangements were under the direction of Tri-County's Cherokee Chapel Funeral Services Inc. of Hardy.

Pallbearers were James Lowe, Bruce Lowe, James Lowe, Andrew Lowe, Tony Lowe and Aaron Lowe.

Honorary pallbearers were Jim Crosby, Gregg Lowe, Drake Worden, and Michael Lowe.

Lasting memorials may be made to Baker Cemetery or to Arkansas Children's Hospital in Little Rock.
