Ottie Susie Gayle, 85, of Cave City, Ark., died April 7, 2008, at her home. She was born Feb. 22, 1923, at Cave City, the daughter of John and Millie Thorp King.
She was a homemaker and worked for Yuma Travel Lodge in Yuma, Ariz. Survivors include: one daughter, Dolores Brock of Wellton, Ariz.; one brother, Jack King of Cave City; six grandchildren, Johnny Brock, Billy Brock and Tim Brock all of Cave City, Roy Brock and Richard Brock both of North Carolina and Royalle Luchenc of Wellton; many great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband, William Odell Gayle; one son, Kenneth Logan Smith; two brothers, Radie King and Cratch King; five sisters, Beulah Conyers, Faye Rush, Ethella Fish, Virgie Conyers and Jeanetta McClure. Graveside services were held April 12 at the Eutopia Cemetery located west of Cave City with Bro. Bobby Sanders officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of the Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City. Honorary pallbearers were Billy Brock, Johnny Brock, Tim Brock, Keith Herring, Gary McClure, William Smith and Steve Pruitt.
