Ray J. Perry, 73, of Cherokee Village died April 2, 2002, at his home.
Born Nov. 14, 1928, in St. Johns, Mich., he was the son of Ray A. Perry and Ocie F. Miller Perry. He was a veteran of the United States Army.
He worked many years as a factory worker for Ford Motor Company. He was also a real estate broker for Century 21 in Michigan. He was a licensed broker and builder in the state of Michigan.
The Perrys moved to Cherokee Village eight years ago from Lansing. He was a member of the Hardy Christian Church.
Survivors include his wife, Delores A. Perry; four stepsons, Curtis Funnell and Chris Funnell, both of Marysville, Wash., Kevin Funnell of Grand Rapids, Mich., and Kim Funnell of Herrogate, Tenn.; and a brother and sister-in-law -- Ted and Jean Perry of St. Johns, Mich.
No local services are planned. A memorial service and burial will be held in Eureka, Mich., at a later date.
Local arrangements are under the direction of Tri-County's Cherokee Chapel of Highland.
