Paul F. Ream, 82, of Cherokee Village, formerly of Kendallville, Ind., died Aug. 27, 2003, at Eastern Ozarks Regional Health System in Cherokee Village.
Born Sept. 23, 1920, in Fawn River, Mich., he was the son of Frank and Claris Slack Ream. He married Ruth Runnestrand Oct.. 31, 1942, in Churubusco, Ind., and she preceded him in death June 8, 1993.
He was the former owner of Lewger Machine & Tool in Kendallville, retiring in 1985. He and his wife moved to Cherokee Village in 1986. He was a former member of the Beacon Baptist Church in Kendallville, Ind., and graduated from Rome City High School.
Survivors include a son, Robert and Sue Ream of Churubusco, Ind.; a daughter, Rebecca and Lloyd Seston of Kendallville; two sisters -- Dorothy Banks of Naples, Fla., and Betty June Ream of Fort Wayne, Ind.; a sister-in-law, Judy Ream of Montaque, Maine; eight grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
A son, Rodney Ream; a brother, Robert Ream; and two sisters, Janice Benson and Ruth Walburn, preceded him in death.
The funeral was Sept. 3 at Hite Funeral Home in Kendallville. Burial was in Pretty Prairie Cemetery in Howe, Ind.
