Perry Hembree Jr., 57, of Camp died July 20, 2003, at Camp.
Born Sept. 15, 1945, at Tinsley, Ky., he was the son of Viola Virginia Griffith Mulkey and Perry Hembree Sr.
He spent his working years as a self-employed carpet installer.
He served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his mother, Viola Mulkey of Ash Flat; five brothers -- Cecil Mulkey of Pocahontas, Delbert Hembree of Lagro, Ind., Harold Mulkey of Reidsville, Ga., Donnie Mulkey of Pine Knot, Ky., and Roger Mulkey of Ash Flat; seven sisters -- Evelyn Buchanan of Camp, Joan Moore of Ash Flat, Emma Shepherd of Sand Keys, Fla., Phyllis Keyfabre of Wabash, Ind., Ruby Edwards and Linda Parton, both of Dalton, Ga., and Faye Moses of Williamsburg, Ky.; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Perry Hembree Sr., and a brother, Martin Mulkey.
Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Barker Funeral Home of Salem.
