Grace Lee Poteete, 90, of Ash Flat, formerly of Memphis, died Sept. 5, 2002, at Eaglecrest Nursing and Rehab Center in Ash Flat.
Born Sept. 5, 1912, in Hope, she was the daughter of the Mr. and Mrs. E.O. Beaver. She marred Jessie "Pete" Durmint Poteete in 1928 in Arizona. He preceded her in death in 1974. She was a housewife and a member of First Baptist Church of Cherokee Village.
Survivors include three sons -- Bill Poteete and Ronnie Poteete, both of Dallas, and Carol Poteete of Ash Flat; a daughter, Velda Morgan of Evening Shade; a brother, Loyal Beaver of California, 12 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and numerous great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a son, J.D. Poteete; two brothers; and four sisters.
The funeral was Sept. 7 at Highland Cemetery with Phil Huggins officiating.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Higginbotham Funeral Service, Inc. of Hardy.
