Lawrence Stanley Raupp, 67, of Mount Pleasant died March 28, 2002, at his home.
Born Nov. 3, 1934, in Arlington Heights, Ill., he was the son of Albinus and Elizabeth Stanley Raupp.
He spent most of his working years as a meat cutter in the Arlington Heights area. In the late 1990s he retired to Mount Pleasant. He married Lorene McDillion in February of 1972. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the St. Mary of the Mount Catholic Church in Horseshoe Bend.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law -- Theresa and David Lance of Springhill, Fla.; two sons and daughters-in-law -- Leroy and Barbara Raupp of Elgin, Ill., and Dan and Connie Raupp of Mount Pleasant; six brothers -- Dan Raupp of Marengo, Ill., Edward Raupp of Lake Zurich, Ill., Al Raupp and George Raupp, both of Arlington Heights, Teddy Raupp of Wauconda, Ill., and Gene Raupp of Des Plains, Ill.; and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; a sister, -- Mary Lou Schaeffer; and two brothers -- Raymond Raupp and Jerome Raupp.
The funeral was April 2 at the Roman and Billy Howard Memorial Chapel with Father Preske officiating. Burial followed in Barren Fork Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Donald Walker, Chad Walker, Phillip Helm, Randal Craig, Gary Fulbright and Steve Riley.
Honorary pallbearers were Jerry Blankenship, Charlie Woods, Daniel Love, Rick Riley, Larry Riley and Randy Tinsley.
Arrangements were under the direction of Eddie's Family Funeral Home of Melbourne.
