Rose Bernice Buckinham, 93, of Cherokee Village died Sept. 29, 2003, at Ash Flat. She was born Jan. 24, 1910, in Fremont, Mich., the daughter of Marshal Paxson and Nettie Johnson Paxon. She was a member of United Methodist Church in Princeton, Minn., where she also belonged to the Priscilla Circle. She was a member of the Eastern Star and of the VFW Auxiliary and a homemaker.
Survivors include one son and his wife, Jerome and Amy Buckingham Jr. of Cherokee Village; one brother and his wife, Harold and Geri Paxson of Manistee, Mich.; one sister and her husband, Donna and Ed Cassinni of Fremont, Mich.; five sisters-in-law, Kathryn Peterson of Princeton, Minn., Dorein Paxson of Muskegon, Mich., Evelyn Paxson of Muskegon, Mich., Violet Buckingham of Isle, Minn. and Nancy Baufield of Osakis, Minn.; three grandchildren -- Rany and Troy Buckingham, both of Cherokee Village and Kari Hastings of Las Vegas.
Services were Oct. 2 at the United Methodist Church in Princeton, Minn., with Judy Clark-Bolling officiating. Burial was in the Oak Knoll Cemetery in Princeton with local arrangements under the direction of Tri-County's Cherokee Chapel of Highland.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the Princeton United Methodist Church.
