Ruth Norene Clausing, 58, of Thayer, Mo., died July 3, 2003, in Thayer.
Born Nov. 24, 1944, in Mendon, Mo., she was the daughter of Ralph Fry and Wilma Clark Fry. She married John Clausing July 16, 1978, in Bucklin, Mo. She was a homemaker and a registered dietitian. She was a native American Cherokee and a member of Cherokee Village Lutheran Church.
Survivors include her husband, John; five children -- Edward Clausing of Kansas City, Mo., Cindy Wiese of Bronaugh, Mo., Marlin Huffman of Koshkonong, Mo., Kyla Ruggles of Winfield, Kan., and Jennifer Smith of Thayer; a brother, Herbert Fry of Brookfield, Mo.; a sister, Idalee Gandy of Trimble, Mo.; and 11 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Kirk Clausing.
The funeral was July 8 at Carter Funeral Home Chapel in Thayer with the Rev. Elliott Anderson officiating. Interment was in Jeff Cemetery at Thayer. Arrangements were by Carter Funeral Home Inc. at Thayer.
Pallbearers were Danny Smith, Marlin Huffman, Stanton Ruggles, Ed Clausing, Thomas Smith and T.J. Smith.
