Ruth Foley, 63, of Little Rock and Cherokee Village, died May 31, 2003, after a long battle with cancer.
She was born in Holdrege, Neb., and married Bill Foley in 1965. The couple traveled extensively during his military career. She was most recently a member of Christ Lutheran Church and had been choir director at Peace Lutheran Church in Cherokee Village. She was also organist at Pilgrim Lutheran Church in Bellevue, Neb.
Survivors include her husband; her mother, Ella Bunger Inselmann Dodson of Ash Flat; her children -- Michael J. Foley and his wife, Rhea, of Hailey, Idaho, Peter W. Foley and his wife, Audrey, of San Antonio, Nicholas A. Foley and his wife, Cheryl, of Dallas, Mary E. Davis of St. Joseph, Mo., and Kathryn Elizabeth Weatherby and her husband, Dean, of Milton, Vt.; and 11 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father, Hilbert Inselmann; a brother, Robert Inselmann; and a son, Richard B. Foley.
Memorials in lieu of flowers may be made to either Christ Lutheran Church or Lutheran High School, 315 S. Hughes, Little Rock, AR 72205.
A memorial service will be held at a later time.
