Emma Charlene Ross, 59, of Cherokee Village died Dec. 26, 2001, at the Round Rock Medical Center in Round Rock, Texas.
Born Sept. 18, 1942, in Canon City, Colo., she was the daughter of Charlie Floyd Sale and Beatrice Lorraine Comer Sale. She married Joe Allen Ross Oct. 9, 1964, in Colorado Springs, Colo. She worked many years as a registered nurse while living in Colorado and Alaska before moving to Cherokee Village. She was currently employed with White River Medical Center in Batesville. She was of the Assembly of God faith.
Survivors include her husband, Joe A. Ross; a son, Charles Andrew Ross of Independence, Mo.; three daughters -- Anetta Renae Rodriguez of Pharr, Texas, Shauna Jo Drashcovich of Brunswick, Maine, and Doris Anna Rovira of Virginia Beach, Va.; two sisters -- Fredonyah Lee Sale of Flora, Mich., and Marva Jean Hatch of Juneau, Alaska; 11 grandchildren -- Eve Renae Rodriguez, Christian Faith Rodriguez, Joel Adam Rodriguez, Dylan Thomas Gregory, Megan Nicole Gregory, Aidan Cullen Gregory, Seth Michael Drashcovich, James Allen Ross, Austin Thomas Ross, Alexandra Mae Ross and Joshua Lee Ross.
The funeral was Dec. 31 at Tri-County's Cherokee Chapel with the Rev. Charles Andrew Ross and the Rev. Bob Willis officiating. Burial followed in Oaklawn Cemetery in Highland.
Pallbearers were Joshua Lee Ross, Joe Rovira, Joey Rodriguez, Stephen Hudson, Ronnie Mullen, Joel Rodriguez and Dennis Ross.
Arrangements were under the direction of Tri-County's Cherokee Chapel of Highland.
