Roberta Pearl McCormick, 84, former resident of Cherokee Village, died Aug. 5, 2006, at Alterra Sterling House in Columbia, Tenn.

The Durango, Colo., native was the daughter of the late William Gerald Carey and Mildred May Farrell Carey. She earned a master's degree in business administration. McCormick served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and Korea. She was employed by Aircraft Space Engines Rockwell International as an engineering configuration management analyst. She was a member and former president of the American League of Women Voters.
Survivors include a sister, Patricia C. (Ambrose) Langa of Columbia; and nieces and nephews, Erin (Bill) White of Culleoka, Carol (Bill) Welch of Columbia, Paul Davis of Nashville, Sherry (Bill) Johnson of Florida, Brad (Sharon) Williams, Susie Swartz and Carl Bagent, all of Ohio.
