Ray P. Mikolajek, 84, of Cherokee Village died Dec. 27, 2005, at his residence.
He was born March 23, 1921, in Milwaukee, Wis., the son of John and Sally Marciszewski Mikolajek who preceded him in death.
He served in the Army during World War II and worked as an inspector and supervisor for Rex-Nord Corporation in Milwaukee until he retired and moved his family, 25 years ago, to Cherokee Village.
He was a past member of the Rex-Nord Rod and Gun Club, and in Cherokee Village he was a member and past president of the Cherokee Village Swim Club, volunteer with the emergency medical team, member of the Cherokee Village Men's Golf Association and usher and member of St. Michael's Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Mikolajek; two sons, Dennis and wife, Jackie Malone, of Reine, Wis., and Jeffery and wife, Linda Mikolajek, of Sugarland, Texas; one sister, Dorothy Mrotek of Milwaukee, Wis.; and four grandchildren.
A memorial mass was held Dec. 30 at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Cherokee Village with Father Kevin Atunzu officiating.
Arrangements were under the direction of Tri-County's Cherokee Chapel in Highland.
