Roy Theodore McNeese died March 21, 2006, at Shady Oaks Healthcare in Thayer at the age 76.
He was born July 10, 1929, in Russellville, Ark., the son of the late Roy and Amie M.
He was a proud veteran, having served his country during World War II in the United States Marine Corps aboard the US Princeton.
He was an active member of VFW Post 7831 in Mammoth Spring. He was employed by International Harvester for many years, working in the shipping department.
He attended Riverview Baptist Church in Mammoth Spring.
Survivors include his wife, Mary, of the home in Mammoth Spring; three daughters, Sharon Hireto and husband, Herbie, of Covina, Calif., Carolyn Johnson and husband, Jerry, of Mohave Valley, Ariz., and Ginnie Garcia and husband, Dan, of Williams, Ariz.; five stepchildren, Teresa Foley and husband, Ron, of La Mirada, Calif., John Karnowski of Bullhead City, Rorie Karnowski of Anaheim, Calif., Marty Karnowski of Bullhead City, Ariz., and Gwen Karnowski of Avalon, Calif.; 11 grandchildren; and eight great-gandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Tom McNeese; and one sister, Mary McNeese.
Graveside services were held March 27 at Fayetteville, Ark., with Chaplain Maurice Roberts officiating.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Carter Funeral Home of Thayer.
