Ralph Wilson Hunt, 89, of Horseshoe Bend, Ark., died April 4, 2008, at Batesville, Ark. He was born Oct. 7, 1918, in Pike County, Ohio, the son of the late Steven and Fairy Hunt.
He served his country in World War II in the Air Corps as sergeant serving in China and Burma, was a member of the Eagles Club, Kiwanis, lifetime member of the Veterans Association Inc., member of the Turkey Mountain Golf Association and was a member of the Faith Presbyterian Church of Horseshoe Bend.Survivors include: his wife, Lavina of Horseshoe Bend; a very good friend, Lois Stevens of Horseshoe Bend; several nieces; nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.He was preceded in death by: his parents; one brother; and one sister.Funeral services were held on April 7 at the Horseshoe Bend Memorial Chapel with burial following in the Evening Shadows Memorial Park in Horseshoe Bend with Bro. Brien Hall officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of the Horseshoe Bend Memorial Chapel.Family requests memorials be sent to the Faith Presbyterian Church in Horseshoe Bend.
