Lonnie Adron Curtis, 64, of Cave City died May 20, 2002, at White River Medical Center in Batesville.
Born July 17, 1937, at Emery, he was the son of Esthal and Bertha McLeod Curtis. He retired from GenCorp after 32 years, he was a member of the Sharp County Farm Bureau Board of Directors and a member of Rings Chapel Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Betty Brown Curtis; a daughter, Karen Sandridge of Cave City; a son and daughter-in-law -- Gary and Ilene Curtis of Cave City; two granddaughters -- Cassie McSpadden and her husband, John, of Cave City, and Shawna Curtis of Batesville; three grandsons -- Mark Sandridge and his wife, Amanda, of Greers Ferry, and Jake Bell and Justin Bell, both of Spring Mill; a great-grandson, Tristan McSpadden of Cave City; and two great-granddaughters -- Cheyenne McSpadden of Cave City, and Ashtyn Bell of Spring Mill.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
The funeral was May 23 at Rings Chapel Missionary Baptist Church east of Cave City with Doug Brown and Travis Hoggard officiating. Burial followed in Parsley Cemetery east of Cave City.
Pallbearers were Jerry Goff, Charles "Hutch" Hutchinson, Larry Brown, Ricky Ring, Mark Sandridge, Jake Bell and Justin Bell.
Honorary pallbearers are Dr. David Posey and the Farm Bureau Board of Directors.
Arrangements were under the direction of Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.
