Alvina M. Sharp, 76, of Cherokee Village died Nov. 13, 2001, at Eastern Ozarks Regional Health System in Cherokee Village.
Born Oct. 24, 1925, in Wisconsin, she was the daughter of Anthony and Ann (Grenda) Raynor Sr. She was a registered nurse for 20 years. She was a member of Cherokee Village Lutheran Church, Cherokee Village Diabetes Group and the Retired Nurses Association. She received an associate of science degree from Governs University and a bachelor of science degree from College of St. Francis, both in Illinois.
Survivors include two sons -- Robert Joel Burke of Albuquerque, N.M., and Christopher Alan Burke of Chicago; a daughter, Nadine Ann Burke of Chicago; a brother, Anthony Raynor Jr. of Florida; and a sister, Reggie Zumdhal of Illinois; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernie Sharp; a son, Kevin Burke; and her former husband, Hank Burke.
A memorial service was Nov. 17 at Cherokee Village Lutheran Church with the Rev. Joan Ewaldsen officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Tri-County's Cherokee Chapel of Highland.
