Stephen Martin Seibert Jr., 95, of Horseshoe Bend died Jan. 6, 2003, at the Fulton County Hospital in Salem.
Born Dec.1, 1907, in Salem, Pa., he was the son of Stephen Seibert Sr. and Dora Mizlo Seibert. He married Dorothea Symmonds July 14, 1949, in Bluegrass, Iowa. He retired from Kelsey-Hayes Company as a machinist. He was a lifetime member of the Eagles Club, a member of the Bettendorf, Iowa, Volunteer Fire Department and a member of the Machinist Union. He enjoyed bowling, gardening and horseshoes. He was a member of the Horseshoe Pitchers Club. He also was a member of St. Mary of the Mount Catholic Church in Horseshoe Bend.
Survivors include his wife; three sons -- William Seibert of Port Orchard, Wash., Martin Seibert of Dewitt, Iowa, and David Seibert of Horseshoe Bend; a daughter, Marlene Main of Virginia, Minn.; a brother, John Seibert of Zanesville, Ohio; many grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.
A funeral mass was Jan. 11 at St. Mary of the Mount Catholic Church with Father Preske officiating. Rosary was in the chapel of Horseshoe Bend Memorial Chapel, with burial in the Violet Hill Cemetery.
Arrangements were under the direction of Horseshoe Bend Memorial Chapel.
