Michael Anthony Statler, 51, of Agnos died Jan. 28, 2002, at his home.
Born Sept. 23, 1950, in Bakersfield, Mo., he was the son of John A. Statler and Ruby Faye Earle Statler. He was a veteran of the United States Army, having served from 1970 until 1972. He graduated from Highland High School in the class of 1968. He went to the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville where he was a member of the Farm House Fraternity. He worked many years in agriculture as a farmer in the local area. He was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include three daughters -- Tiffany Orr and her husband, John, of Ash Flat, Michelle Vance of Jonesboro, and Amanda Statler of Agnos; the children's mother, Judy Statler of Ash Flat; his father, John A. Statler of Imboden; his mother, Ruby F. Moffitt of Agnos; two brothers -- P. Randall Statler of Imboden, and Steven Statler of Evening Shade; a half brother, Everett Moffitt Jr. of Agnos; a sister, Tanya Burkhammer of Agnos; and a grandson, Chandler Vance of Jonesboro.
A memorial service was Jan. 31 at Tri-County's Chapel in Highland
