Steve Thomas, 76, of Imboden died Nov. 9, 2005, at the Lawrence Hall Nursing Center in Walnut Ridge. He was born April 3, 1929, at Sitka, the son of Bill and Bertha Jackson Thomas. He retired from Townsend, was a farmer and was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his wife, Evelyn Thomas of the home; two sons, John Thomas of Paragould, and Freddie Thomas of Pleasant Plains; two daughters, Joyce Thomas-Brewer of Cherokee Village, and Evelyn Eason of Corning; 11 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Robin Thomas; one brother, George Thomas; one sister, Loene Thomas; a granddaughter, Shelly Leach.
The funeral service was held Nov. 12 at Qualls Funeral Home Chapel in Cave City with Bro. Larry Weaver officiating.
Burial followed in Spotts Cemetery at Poughkeepsie. Arrangements were under the direction of the Qualls Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were J.T. Crawford, James Oliver, Michael Niswonger, Gary Cooper, Jerry Cooper, Henry Goodman and Tommy Morgan.
Honorary pallbearers were Kenneth Coates and Bud Collett.
